That Day of the Year….Again!

It comes in October every damn year!  The day that we turn the water off and shut down the Lodge for the summer.  This doesn’t mean we don’t make the trip to the Lodge, we just have to rethink our…”rituals” !  It is the worst day of the year, for the most part. The boats come out, the water gets shut off, and we fire up the wood stove!  It’s been a hell of a summer with 23 plus inches of rain. Nothing seemed to dry out, in fact, yesterday was the first grass cutting since July, and that’s one heck of a long time for the Honda cutter to sit still!  Oh well!

Hoping for lots of snow for the ski season.

The final pontoon ride of the year and the sunset were both phenomenal!
